ScoutEase is a project in development in Edmonton, Alberta. This website is a holding page: it has no accounts, no listings and no forms. This notice explains the little it does collect.

What this page collects

Nothing on purpose. The page sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads nothing from third parties. Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. Vercel may process those logs outside Canada.

If you email us

If you write to contact@scoutease.com, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you tell us. We use it only to reply and to follow up on what you asked about. We don't add you to any list, and we don't share your message with anyone else. Our email is hosted by Microsoft 365, which may store it outside Canada.

We keep correspondence for up to 12 months after our last exchange, then delete it. If you'd like it deleted sooner, say so and we will.

Your rights

Under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or complain about how we handled it. Email contact@scoutease.com. You can also contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

Our free tools

The calculators at tools.scoutease.com are a separate site with their own privacy policy, because that site shows advertising and uses cookies.

Changes

A full privacy policy for the platform is being prepared with legal counsel. It will replace this notice, with a new date at the top, before ScoutEase opens any account, waitlist or listing. We won't apply a new policy to information collected under this one without telling you.
